When our hands get involved, the mind finally stops trying to out-smart the wound. healing follows and can be seen in the stitches.

About

As a child I was drawn to embroidery like a moth to light. My first project, a gift from my paternal grandmother, was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs printed on pre-stretched fabric in its own frame! My experience with fiber includes embroidery, cross stitch, needle point, knitting, crocheting, sewing and, most recently, needle lacing.

After decades of stitching other people’s designs, I felt called to create my own in 2019 when I received an intuitive vision of ‘Wake Up!’.  Without hesitation, I began to draw and plan. What started as a 5″ x 5″ piece became a 20″ x 20″ piece using two reverse appliques. With each stitch my intention was that the piece would be displayed prominently for as many people to see as possible.  I was honored to exhibit this piece as part of the Textile Center’s Common Thread Show in 2020 as well as at the Minnesota State Fair in 2021.

Throughout my life I’ve been blessed with clairvoyance and clairaudience and I’ve been on a spiritual journey for many years. Hand stitching is a form of mindful meditation and is an extension of my connection to God, the Universe, Spirit. It is in the quietest moments–upon waking in the morning, walking a path in the woods, or sitting in silent mediation–that I connect and am often inspired.

In 2016 I retired from 30+ years in marketing including 16 years as a digital marketing consultant helping clients with content creation, graphic design and website design.

In 2021, I met Kerry K, a spiritual facilitator and author who focuses on topics related to galactic consciousness, ascension, and personal spiritual development, and was a member of her Galactic Ground Crew.

She challenged us to consider and describe our Super Power. At the time I was learning how to transmute trauma and was resistant to this exercise. However, once I had time to meditate on the idea my Super Power became clear. After all, I’ve been honing embroidery skills since I was six years old and I see Love Codes rise from my needle when I’m stitching. That’s got to be a Super Power, right? My response is the video to the right.

This was more than a challenge for me. It was a nudging from I AM Presence that my art has value beyond my own pleasure. It is a gift to give back to the world and each stitch holds an intention based on the download received; some are infused with healing, some with love, some with understanding.

There’s joy in creating and seeing my Soul Signature come to life.

I’m a member of the Surface Design Association. I also share my experience of healing from stitching, guide slow stitching meditations, teach embroidery and needle lacing, and volunteer at a local nursing home sharing Art for Life with residents.

Want to Work With Me?

Much of my fiber art has been part of my healing journey. However, some pieces are available for a donation and I’m happy to work with you to create a piece that touches your own soul.

I’m also available to guide slow stitching meditation, teach embroidery and  needle lacing, and speak about how stitching is healing. Let’s talk.
